Players Championship Rules
Overview
All members registered at the start of the clan league are automatically entered into the First Round draw of The Players Championship. Players may withdraw at any time by posting on the Players Championship thread or by messaging whocares8x8.
Prior to Round 1, players offline for approximately 14 days may be removed (league runner's discretion).
Participation in this competition is purely optional. There is no requirement to complete any fixture and no punishment against anyone choosing not to play their match.
Seeding
The top 16 players from last season's Players Championship will be seeded according to their finish (equal finishers are decided by random draw).
Game Format
Game length - Each game consists of exactly 2 frames of Arcade, Regular and Original
Matches are to be played in that order unless agreed by both players.
Organizing Fixtures
Please don't badger opponents to play, simply send them one or two messages and if they don't want to play or they don't reply (proof needed) then you will go through by the deadline. Please post your progress on the Players Championship thread.
Frame Points
Each frame won by a player scores 2 points.
Bonus Points
Each half century (50-99) scores 1 bonus point. Each century (100-147) scores 2 bonus points.
Tie Breakers
If players are level at the end of the match, the winner shall be decided by a one frame shootout!!! The game type for the deciding frame is to be chosen by the player winning the 6th frame of normal play (no bonus points for the decider only the frame counts).
Results
Each game must be completed by the posted deadline. Results must be posted on the Players Championship forum.
Defaults
Defaults will be judged on effort by posts on the players championship thread or by sending the runner the information (activity will never count here as it is an optional event). If one player claims the default, he/she will go through to the next round. If both post default info, the league runner or default panel decides who progresses. If neither player claims the default, both players are disqualified.
Information must be received by midnight of the day following the deadline. Any information received after this will not count.
